A succesfully ran suburban Hotel with a strong local ‘entertainment’ following, however, were leaving large sums on money on the table through their under-perfoming 39 accommodation assets.
Having a mix of Pub rooms, Motel rooms as well as Apartments made it even more challenging to get a simple message out there and to atrract some of the local demand that did already exist.
We immediately began employing smarter pricing strategies through a 3-times per week revenue management service. By simply having the finger on the pulse with more competitive and flexible pricing, we began to take up some market share.
Then we completed a number of small digital optimisation projects providing better online visibility and bookability. This provided a platform for some impressive growth!
The occupancy is through the roof, we are almost 90% at times throughout this past 6 months. There is no way we could have achieved that whilst trying to run a busy hotel and manage the accommodation side.
